Scientific Career
- MSc in Sustainable Development
BA in Southeast Asian Studies and Management
In her doctoral thesis supervised by Thomas Faist and Andrea Behrends, Lisa explored subjective social positions in the context of migration to Germany. As a research fellow at the University of Dortmund, she took part in a research project on the role of migrant organisations for social protection practices in migration contexts. Her research interests concern experiences and emotions related to mobility and social inequality, belonging, and identity (trans-)formation in migration contexts. During her time in Luxembourg, Lisa will contribute to the department’s planned and ongoing projects, which cover topics of gender inequality and transnational families. Additionally, she is keen to further engage in the study of mobility and inequality, especially in the context of Southeast Asia.
